Loudoun Youth Leadership Program
Who are we?
Do you have what it takes to step out of your comfort zone and become a leader? Are you looking to gain more confidence in leadership, even if you think you have it all figured out? Then the Loudoun Youth Leadership Program (LYLP) is just for you! LYLP is a week-long program open to all Loudoun County rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors who will have to opportunity to learn leadership concepts and interact with local businesses, government, and community leaders. The program will take place in a classroom-type setting with limited class sizes – to encourage team building & provide a genuine experience – where students will be exploring valuable leadership skills.
ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
- 3-hr workshop exploring leadership and communication
- Overnight stay on Monday night w/ social group interaction
- Guided ropes course/team-building experience
- Networking/interaction w/ various leaders
- Stories/experiences from Loudoun’s visionaries
- Keynote presentations
- Public speaking/interviewing classes
- Site visits to a cross-section of: culture/business/government/agriculture/technology in Loudoun County
